About the Position:
This position will serve as the Financial Readiness Program Educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County and will implement Financial Readiness programming for a menu of existing Financial Readiness educational programs and activities at the Soldier and Family Readiness Division on Fort Drum. This position will be responsible for the delivery of established Financial Readiness programming in support of the Soldier and Family Readiness Division programs, and will deliver other established Financial Readiness programming and activities, both on-site and off-site in accordance with the Fort Drum Program Area’s plan of work. This position will also coordinate all administrative aspects of the Financial Readiness Program and will assist the Fort Drum Issue Leader with marketing efforts for Financial Readiness programming.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education (Associate’s Degree and two (2) years transferable program/functional experience.
· Experience relevant to the role of the position.
· Valid NYS driver’s license and the ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.

About the Position:
This position will serve as the Parenting and Life Skills Educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County. This position will implement programming from a menu of existing parenting and life skills education curricula to meet the needs of families referred from the Department of Social Services, other community agencies and self-referrals. This position will be responsible for the delivery of established parenting and life skills programming and activities, both on-site and off-site in accordance with the Parenting Program Area’s Plan of Work to include, but not limited to: one-on-one teaching, home visitation, demonstrations, newsletters, and group workshops. Programming topics may include, but are not limited to: discipline, stress reduction, communication, parenting styles, child development, home sanitation, budgeting, breastfeeding, basic nutrition, family safety and goal setting. This position will also be responsible for community-based parenting and life skills classes. CCE’s parenting education model is strengths based and works on the belief that the well-being of families is grounded in informed parenting. Parents create the environment of family life and provide children with their first and most influential model for healthy and responsible behavior. Research indicates the strong influence adults have on their family’s lifestyle, health and fitness and overall well-being. This affects all aspects of a child’s life, including how well they do in school. Parents are their children’s first and most important teachers.
Required Qualifications:

· Background in parenting education, trauma-informed practices, and familiarity with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES).

This position will serve as the Association Finance Assistant for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County and will provide support to the organization to include, but not limited to: assisting in coordinating, monitoring and providing daily financial and business functions of the accounting process for Association accounts to include: processing and preparing budgets, administering budgetary information, preparing payroll reports, reconciling bank statements, billing and payments, managing petty cash, and other finance duties as assigned. This position will work with the Finance Manager to implement established best practices and procedures in Finance and will communicate with the Finance Manager regarding questions, issues and/or troubleshooting as appropriate. This position will perform other general office duties as assigned.

The MBK program provides comprehensive youth development opportunities for youth in the Watertown City School District (WCSD). The program provides family engagement programming alongside engaging parents and children together and connecting them with the school community. The Youth and Family Engagement Specialist will provide program coordination and ensure the program meets health, safety and licensing standards and offers a quality youth development educational experience. This position will coordinate family engagement events and activities with the school and community, offer parent education opportunities, integrate Cornell University research and programming, meet the program objectives/goals and work with the outside evaluators on evaluation protocols. Clayton Opera House
Job Description:The Operations Assistant for the Clayton Opera House ensures operational aspects for events including weddings, conferences, meetings and performances are completed and ensures the general cleanliness of the green room and dressing rooms. This staff person will report to the Box Office Manager and work in collaboration with the Executive Director to meet the hospitality needs of performers. They will ensure a smooth, hospitable and efficient operation at the Opera House through professional team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
Specific Responsibilities:
Oversight of Performances:
• Reviews hospitality needs of artists performing at the Opera House and confers with Executive Director to meet the artist needs on performance days.
• Responsible for ordering, purchasing and picking up items and food from local stores and online to meet the needs of performers requests, restocking of concessions and Opera House supplies.
• Ensures green room and dressing rooms are clean and ready for all performances. Duties include cleaning restrooms, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming in green room, dressing rooms, Performance Hall and Ballroom as needed.
• Is on site on performance days to meet hospitality needs of artists to include green room/dressing room and meals per artists riders. This may require early morning or late evening and weekend hours.
Oversight of Rentals and Events:
• Is on site during weddings, conferences and meetings to ensure renters needs are met and that they comply with all Opera House regulations and contracts.
• Set and reset Performance Hall and Ballroom as needed for various events including moving chairs and tables to accommodate events.
General Up-Keep of Opera House:
• Ensures that the front entrance is clear, clean and safely accessible for performances and rentals.
• Coordinates maintenance with appropriate Town of Clayton staff and follows through until complete.
• Complete a walk through weekly to check all emergency lights, fire extinguishers and possible safety hazards. Immediately fixes any discrepancies if possible and report other discrepancies to the Executive Director and Town of Clayton for correction.
• Operates the HVAC system according to procedures and in such a way that provides comfortable temperature control of the building.
Other responsibilities:
• The Operations Assistant will also be responsible for the setting up the concession area for events where concessions are sold. This includes ensuring cooler(s) stocked with soda/water are placed in the concessions area prior to doors opening, maintaining concessions inventory, restocking as needed and cleanliness of popcorn machine and concessions area.
• Setup and maintain roadside advertising signs posted throughout village entrances
• Assisting other staff members with special projects as necessary or assigned.
• Helping to foster a professional and team-oriented environment that renders the Opera House a superior center for the performing arts.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated excellence in a service-oriented environment. Friendly, composed, and client-centered demeanor in person, via email and on the telephone.
• Time management is a must with the ability to take on multiple tasks, completing them in a timely manner. Must be able to self-assess importance of tasks and complete tasks without micromanagement.
• Proven track record of working responsively and effectively with people of varied backgrounds, preferences, and communication styles.
• Must be a team player who demonstrates the ability to jump in and help out when needed. Able to observe and complete tasks that need to get done without being asked.
• Must be able to work during all events, including long-hours, weeknights, weekends, and potential overtime hours during busy season. Schedule flexibility is a must.
• Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds without assistance. Physical ability to assist with moving chairs and tables a must.
Schedule:
Schedule for this hourly position will vary from 25 to 40 hours per week depending on schedule. Although the calendar of most events is set primarily by the beginning of the year, the number of hours will vary depending upon the week and will be communicated by the Executive Director in advance.
